(This is me!)
WELCOME
Hi, I'm Abigail Cave. I am from New Kent County where I went to high school there. As a student at Virginia Peninsula Community College I am working towards an Associates Degree in Applied Science of Mechanical Engineering. After that, I am going to transfer to a four-year university to obtain a bachelor in Aerospace Engineering.
You can read more about me below.
Pilot
October, 2024
This is my most recent achievements, becoming a private pilot. With this license, I am going to join the Civil Air Patrol. This way, I can put my skills to use and help with search and rescue missions and disaster relief.

Amateur Radio
October, 2023
I got my Amateur Radio Technician License in 2023 after beginning to learn Morse code. I then went on and obtained my General and Extra license. This hobby offers opportunities to use Morse code in the real world and make connections with people with common interests. The picture on the right is a project radio I have been working on for a couple months. It is a Helicrafters SX-110 (1960-1963) and what I'm doing is replacing the old capacitors with new, stronger ones.

EMT
May, 2024
I got my EMT license through the Bridging Communities Program at New Kent High School. This was a wonderful experience. Now, I am a volunteer EMT for Charles City.
